Mixed-Media Equine Artist/ Inspired by Creation, Grounded in Faith

My work is a reflection of awe — for creation, for wild beauty, and for the divine presence that threads through it all. Using mixed-media watercolors and pen & ink, I explore the spirit of equines — especially wild horses — whose untamed elegance speaks of both strength and vulnerability. Their forms in motion, their stillness, their instinct — each of my works, is my way of honoring their sacred presence in the natural world. This journey is deeply personal. I am blessed to share my life with Meraki, my rescued wild mustang whose quiet power and grace inspire me daily. Her name — meaning to put something of yourself into your work — reflects the soul behind my art. She is not just my muse, but my teacher — a living symbol of redemption, trust, and the gentle healing that comes with patience and love. Each piece in my collection is grounded in scripture, most often drawn from the Psalms. Some works radiate light, hope, and peace, paired with uplifting verses. Others lean into depth and mystery — dark washes, metallic touches, and the weight of God’s sovereignty — revealing the fullness of the faith walk. This body of work is more than a tribute to horses. It is a testimony to the Creator who formed them — and us — with intention and love. My hope is that these images speak to your spirit, just as they’ve spoken to mine.
