BlackPony Advocacy Mission Statement

Reaching Hearts, Mobilizing Partners, Protecting Freedom

At BlackPony, advocacy begins with reverence — for the Creator, for His creation, and for the wild horses He set upon the open range. The mustang is more than a symbol of the American West; they are a living testament to resilience, freedom, and the quiet strength God wove into every creature. Their story is sacred, and their struggle is real.

My work stands in the gap between beauty and burden. Through watercolor, ink, and cinematic motion, I seek to honor the mustangs who run free, the herds who fight to survive, and the ones whose voices are too often lost in the noise of policy, politics, and misunderstanding. Each piece carries a whisper of Scripture — reminders of endurance, justice, stewardship, and the call to protect what God has entrusted to us.

Advocacy, for me, is an act of faith. It is choosing to see the mustang not as a problem to be managed, but as a creation to be valued. It is believing that art can soften hearts, open eyes, and stir people toward compassion. It is trusting that God cares for every creature and invites us to participate in His work of restoration.

BlackPony exists to stand with the wild ones — to tell their stories, to honor their spirit, to protect their future, and to remind us all that freedom is a gift worth defending.

“The righteous care for the needs of their animals.” — Proverbs 12:10

This is the heartbeat of BlackPony: faith expressed through art, art expressed through advocacy, advocacy rooted in the One who sees every sparrow — and every horse— that runs across the heights.

Recommended Florida Rescue Allocation

The percentages below reflect BlackPonyLLC’s suggested donor allocation strategy for visitors who want to maximize impact for horses at risk in Florida. The largest recommended shares go to organizations that explicitly state they rescue horses from auctions, kill pens, or the slaughter pipeline, while a portion is also directed to organizations providing rehabilitation, sanctuary, and broader rescue capacity. At BlackPonyLLC, we believe donor dollars should be used where they can do the most good for horses at immediate risk — especially those in the auction, kill pen, and slaughter pipeline.

Based on each organization’s publicly stated mission, rescue focus, and available donation/contact information, we recommend the following Florida-focused allocation strategy for donors who want their support used in the most effective, humane, and mission-aligned way.

Recommended Donation Allocation

Donor Reminder

The percentages shown above are BlackPonyLLC’s recommended giving framework only. BlackPonyLLC does not pool donations, divide donations, earmark donations, or transfer donor funds to these organizations. Each donor remains fully responsible for deciding whether, when, and how much to donate directly to each rescue. This is suggested wording intended to make the direct-to-charity structure clear and reduce ambiguity about whether BlackPonyLLC is functioning as a fundraiser or donation intermediary. For The Wild Remember

They were shaped by wind long before they were touched by human hands. In every Mustang lives the memory of open range — muscles taught by mountains, lungs widened by distance, hooves carved by stone and storm. Their bodies carry the geometry of survival; their minds hold the quiet intelligence of those who have learned to read the land like scripture.

They move with a strength that is not manufactured but inherited — a strength born of scarcity, of weather, of watching the horizon for what comes next.

And yet, when a Mustang chooses trust, their power softens into partnership. They turn their wild-born athleticism into precision, into grace, into a willingness that surprises those who only see the word “wild” and not the depth of what it means.

The Wild Remember honors this truth: that a Mustang is not a blank slate to be trained, but an athlete already formed — a creature whose freedom has written every line of their body.

To adopt a Mustang is to welcome a partner shaped by the land itself, a heart that remembers, and a spirit that rises the moment it is seen.

Mustang Temperament — A Poetic Tribute

for The Wild Remember

A Mustang’s temperament is a landscape of its own. It holds the quiet watchfulness of open country, the patience of long distances, the alertness of a creature who has learned to listen before it moves.

They are not reactive by nature — they are discerning. They weigh the world with ancient instincts, choosing caution over chaos, connection over command.

Once trust is offered and accepted, a Mustang’s loyalty is profound. They do not give themselves halfway. They meet their person with a steadiness that feels like standing beside something older than memory.

Their intelligence is not loud; it is observant, intuitive, a kind of knowing that comes from generations of reading wind, water, and the shifting intentions of the herd.

The Wild Remember honors this truth: that a Mustang’s temperament is not a challenge to overcome but a gift to understand — a blend of sensitivity, courage, and quiet wisdom that deepens every partnership they choose.

To welcome a Mustang is to welcome a mind shaped by freedom, a heart that learns you slowly, and a spirit that stands beside you with a grounded, enduring grace.

Mustang Athleticism

Strength • Intelligence • Heart

Mustangs are among the most adaptable equine athletes in the world. Shaped by the demands of survival rather than selective breeding, they carry a rare combination of stamina, balance, agility, and emotional intelligence. Their sure‑footed movement, efficient metabolism, and powerful hindquarters make them natural partners for trail, endurance, ranch work, versatility challenges, and even classical disciplines like dressage.

Once a Mustang forms a bond with their person, they offer extraordinary focus and willingness — the same qualities that carried horses like Cobra from the open range to national dressage titles. Their athleticism isn’t manufactured; it’s earned through generations of living wild, learning to read terrain, conserve energy, and move with purpose.

To adopt a Mustang is to partner with an athlete who remembers the land, honors the work, and gives their whole heart once trust is found.
