Artist Statement - Nancy Pollinger

Hi, I’m Nancy, the artist behind BlackPony. I create faith-inspired equine artwork shaped by watercolor, mixed-media, scripture, and a lifelong love for horses.

My work is made for people who find peace, strength, and God’s presence in the beauty of the horse.

I seek to capture not just the form of the horse, but its soul — its dignity, its story, its witness. Horses have always been my companions in understanding strength, spirit, and resilience. In every piece, I aim to portray them as more than subjects; they are symbols of freedom, and heritage.

My creative process is anchored in faith. Each painting unfolds through intuition and atmosphere and emerges as my testimony. Whether I’m painting ocean‑washed stillness, cinematic equine portraits, or advocacy‑rooted Mustang imagery, my goal is the same: to create work that speaks to the soul.
